Position: Process Commissioning Engineer – Water
Location:
North West
Our client is a leading design and build contractor operating in the water sector. They have over 1,000 staff working across eight regional centres, primarily supporting six long term water sector frameworks through a number of joint ventures and alliances.
They are looking to recruit a Process Commissioning Engineer to work on their United Utilities AMP7 framework. Based in North West, you will be responsible for the hands-on commissioning of various clean water and wastewater projects. You will report directly to the Project Manager, and the responsibilities will include:
- Developing commissioning plans through the detailed design and installation phase, attending HAZOPS, HAZCOMMs and other risk reduction meetings, arranging and managing sampling activities to be carried out during testing.
- Carrying out process commissioning on site, including managing sampling activities, liaising with process support, conducting analysis internally or managing external analysis, managing process start-up, and ensuring optimum operation of the plant during performance trials.
- Writing and submitting commissioning completion reports indicating the performance levels achieved and successful pass of the process criteria.
- Facilitating feedback of improvement information from commissioning.
- Participating in off-site testing and pre-commissioning activities by suppliers or others where required.
- Ensuring commissioning is carried out safely in accordance with regulations and procedures.
- Ensuring all necessary commissioning documentation is produced in a timely manner and cooperating with Technical Documentation teams to ensure timely delivery of O&M manuals.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous hands-on process commissioning experience.
- Strong process commissioning experience both site-based and in planning activities.
- Site experience in process commissioning within the water industry.
- Relevant degree or HND (scientific, chemical or process engineering preferred) or other suitable qualification.
