Journeyman Computer Systems Engineer​/Architect

GCyber is hiring a Journeyman Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to support our newly awarded United States Coast Guard (USCG) Maverick contract. The Journeyman Computer Systems Engineer/Architect will gather information concerning the capabilities of Company products, investigate the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions, and stay abreast of developments in hardware and software.

This position is located in Kearneysville, WV and will be hybrid with 3 days a week on site.

• Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers
• Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts
• Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks
• Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures
• Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning
• Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 – 8 years of system engineering experience (or commensurate experience.)
• 8570 IAT II certification (i.e., Security+, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GCSP, GSEC, SSCP)
