GSP Logistics Coordinator
Job Specifics:
The Logistics Coordinator plans movement, scheduling, placement and logistics of Client, material, equipment and support services between contractors and owner. They are responsible for resolving issues and optimization of the overall plan to ensure efficient workflow and limited interference between groups. Clear communication and tracking with all stakeholders is key. The position is based at the Mount Storm Power Station in West Virginia.
Projects include boiler work such as boiler tube replacement, controls, fuel systems, turbines, and other pressure systems. Weekend and Shift Work during large projects and outages will be required.
Experience required with major power plants and equipment including but not limited to turbines, generators, pumps, motors, control systems, electrical/instrumentation, operations, and other balance-of-plant systems.
Candidates must be highly motivated, be able to work with minimum supervision, and have effective communication skills. Candidates must be able to qualify for work in the field including confined space, climbing stairs and ladders, wearing a respirator, etc.
Responsibilities:
" Ensure all responsibilities are executed with Safety and Environmental Compliance as the primary focus of all project efforts.
" The Logistics Coordinator is expected to maintain a physical presence in the field for at least 60% of the duration of the workday and address issues as they arise with the contractor and project management team.
" Provide quality inspection reports/status updates to management upon request or as needed.
" Provide feedback to contractors, engineers, safety personnel and general management concerning issues or concerns being encountered.
" Know and understand Client s Supplemental Terms & Conditions, including a general knowledge of the Safety and Environmental Compliance standards therein, that are expected to be executed successfully by the Supplier.
Qualifications/Experience:
" Working knowledge of power generation facilities and supporting processes.
" General knowledge of construction and operational field work practices, equipment utilization and work component scheduling.
" Demonstrates skill in planning, organizing, prioritizing, scheduling, and logistical work to meet construction deadlines.
" Ability to work effectively with management and co-workers and to make effective decisions.
" Skilled in problem solving, attention to detail.
" Skilled in use of personal computer and Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
" Familiarity with OSHA industrial safe work practices.
" 3+ years of industry experience
" OSHA 10 preferred.
Minimum HS Diploma required
