Logistics Coordinator - Power Plant

The Logistics Coordinator plans movement, scheduling, placement and logistics of manpower, material, equipment and support services between contractors and owner.

They are responsible for resolving issues and optimization of the overall plan to ensure efficient workflow and limited interference between groups.

• Experience required with major power plants and equipment including but not limited to turbines, generators, pumps, motors, control systems, electrical/instrumentation, operations, and other balance-of-plant systems.
• Ensure all responsibilities are executed with Safety and Environmental Compliance as the primary focus of all project efforts.
• Expected to maintain a physical presence in the field for at least 60% of the duration of the workday and address issues as they arise with the contractor and project management team.
• Provide quality inspection reports/status updates to management upon request or as needed.
• Provide feedback to contractors, engineers, safety personnel and general management concerning issues or concerns being encountered.
• Working knowledge of power generation facilities and supporting processes.
• General knowledge of construction and operational field work practices, equipment utilization and work component scheduling.
• Demonstrates skill in planning, organizing, prioritizing, scheduling, and logistical work to meet construction deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with management and co-workers and to make effective decisions.
• Skilled in problem solving, attention to detail.
• Skilled in use of personal computer and Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with OSHA industrial safe work practices.
