TD22 is responsible for Hannover Re’s marine and offshore energy underwriting. The team provides underwriting expertise and tailored reinsurance solutions across a broad range of marine and offshore energy risks, supporting Hannover Re’s global client portfolio through technical knowledge, risk assessment, and close market collaboration.

• Empowered underwriting:
  Analysing treaty submissions, evaluating technical and commercial risks and determining adequate pricing for international clients
• Supporting, cultivating, and expanding our client relationships and Marine & Offshore Energy treaty portfolio
• Acting as a primary point of contact for key clients and reinsurance brokers in this specialty segment
• Maintaining internal systems for treaty administration, exposure management and data accuracy
• Contributing to internal projects and subject-specific working groups
• Monitoring market trends, emerging exposures and developments in the Marine & Offshore Energy sector

• A successfully completed degree in Economics, Business Administration or Business Law, alternatively a completed vocational training in a commercial or business-related field
• At least three years of experience in reinsurance treaty underwriting, ideally in the Marine & Offshore Energy segment
• Experience engaging with major international clients and brokers is a strong advantage
• Proficient user skills in both English and German, complemented by excellent communication abilities and cultural awareness
• A willingness to undertake international business travel
• An international mindset, strong negotiation and numerical skills and the ability to manage complexity by structuring multifaceted risks and making high-quality, well-reasoned underwriting decisions
• A proactive and solution-driven working style, a strong sense of accountability and ownership for decisions and outcomes and the ability to collaborate effectively
