Medical Physicist
Overview
Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers of Colorado (RMCC) seeks an experienced, self‑motivated medical physicist to fill a position created by the retirement of a current physics staff member. The opening is at the Lone Tree site of Sky Ridge Medical Center, where the successful candidate will work alongside an experienced physicist to support a busy practice that treats roughly 40‑50 patients per day on two linear accelerators (1 Varian Edge and a 1 Varian iX, the latter to be replaced by the end of 2025).
The caseload includes about 150 SBRT and 50 SRS cases per year, a low volume of HDR cases (Bracy Vision cylinders), and an ongoing Gamma Tile program. The site operates in an Aria/Eclipse environment with the Rad Formation suite. RMCC physicists collaborate to assure coverage, allowing time off and meeting attendance; each physicist receives one fully paid meeting per year.
Located at the foot of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, the region offers over 300 days of sunshine, quality schools, abundant outdoor activities, a variety of indoor cultural opportunities, and four major league sports teams—making this area second to none. RMCC emphasizes a healthy work‑home balance for wellbeing and mental health.
