MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enrollment at West Virginia University as a part-time or full-time student.
- Performs visual field testing, lensometry and keratometry on patients.
- Conducts and records formal and informal visual fields to include confrontation, Amsler Grid, Goldmann Perimetry, automated perimetry, and OCT.
- Interacts with and assists clinical staff and faculty.
- Must be able to carry and move heavy objects in excess of forty pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, move, stoop, reach, and stand for long intervals.
- Vision correctable to at least 20/30 in one eye.
- Normal outpatient clinical environment; may be exposed to biohazards and communicable disease.
- Working with ophthalmic lasers frequently and may need to wear protective eye equipment.
- May work with blood, lab specimens, and other patient bodily fluids requiring universal precautions.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high‑volume clinic.
- Ability to operate ophthalmic equipment and computers.
- Strong analytical skills to complete the technical aspects of patient examinations.
