Network Administrator

GCyber is hiring a Network Administrator to support our newly awarded United States Coast Guard Maverick contract. The Network Administrator will manage, maintain, and optimize network systems to support continuous operations and mission‑critical activities.

This position is 6:45am – 7:00pm Sunday – Tuesday and is located in Kearneysville, WV.

• Manage, maintain, and optimize network systems in a 24/7 operational environment to ensure availability and security.
• Configure and administer network devices (routers, switches) while troubleshooting complex issues involving TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Utilize advanced monitoring tools (Wireshark, Solar Winds) to proactively analyze performance, detect issues, and drive rapid resolution.
• Implement and enforce robust network security protocols and industry best practices to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to integrate services efficiently, while supporting shift work to meet continuous operational demands.

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience (or commensurate experience)
• 8570 IAT II certification (i.e., Security+, CCNA‑Security, CND, CySA+, GCSP, GSEC, SSCP)
• Minimum of 5‑8 years of experience in network administration or related roles.
