AHF Products offers a great career opportunity for a General Laborer at our Sawmill in Norton, WV. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to maintain a steady flow of lumber throughout the mill.

• Physically handle lumber by pulling from chain and placing in the appropriate pack.
• Use a crosscut saw to cut off bad ends.
• Band finished packs.
• Perform clean-up and ground maintenance of assigned areas.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned by mill management.

• Must pass a background check, employment verification, and drug screening.
• Positive and verifiable work history.
• Prior sawmill experience.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Employees must meet the following physical requirements:

• Push, pull, carry, and lift 20-50 lbs.
• Frequent walking and sitting.
• Repetitive movements such as stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and grasping.
• Ability to communicate, hear, understand, and write in English.
• Exposure to dust and noise requiring hearing protection.
• Willingness to work in non-temperature-controlled environments and in various weather conditions.
