AHF Products has a great career opportunity for a Utility Operator at our Sawmill in Norton, WV. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, you will operate key sawmill equipment including the Trim-saw, Edger, Gangsaw, Chipper, and De-barker to ensure efficient and safe processing of logs and lumber.

• Operate and monitor sawmill equipment to ensure efficient and safe processing.
• Assist in setup, calibration, and adjustment of machinery to meet production specifications.
• Perform routine checks on equipment, report malfunctions, and coordinate maintenance.
• Sort, stack, and transfer processed lumber using appropriate tools or equipment.
• Support continuous operation by clearing jams, removing waste, and maintaining flow.
• Monitor product quality, remove or report defective material.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in work areas and on equipment.
• Assist with inventory, labeling, and preparing finished lumber for shipment or storage.
• Provide general labor support across mill operations as needed.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned by management.

• Ability to pass background check, employment verification, and drug screening.
• Positive and verifiable work history.
• Previous sawmill experience.
• Experience operating sawmill equipment such as Trim-saw, Edger, Gangsaw, Chipper, and De-barker.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

• Frequent pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting 20-50 lbs.
• Frequent walking and sitting.
• Repetitive movements such as stretching, bending, twisting, reaching, grasping.
• Must communicate effectively in English.
• Exposure to dust and noise requiring hearing protection.
• Work in non-temperature-controlled outdoor environment.
