Production Associate (Shift – 7am Start)

The Production Operator is responsible for fabrication and assembly of component parts for the final assembly of windows, performing tasks in a variety of departments.

• Operation of hand tools to manually build window units together
• Lift windows onto build tables and roller racks
• Move carts in and out of the production work area
• Operate various types of saws to cut wood necessary to mull units
• Operate fabrication (punch press) dies
• Apply hardware to units with appropriate tooling
• Operate stretch‑wrapping equipment
• Utilize production reports to assist in production planning
• Ensure overall quality of work by performing quality audits and engaging in problem‑solving activities to resolve issues
• Observe applicable safety, health and environmental guidelines; wear required personal protective equipment
• Participate in cross‑rotation with other operators as needed
• Support cross‑training initiatives by assisting other employees with training
• Perform all other tasks assigned by the supervisor

• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32"
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; convert fractions to decimals
• Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Capability to use computerized equipment

• Lift 50 pounds on a continual basis; lift above shoulder height and below the waist
• Require standing, walking and working on concrete surfaces for long periods of time
• Move carts in and out of production areas
