Overview
Chemical Operator
Reports to: Production Manager/ Operations Engineer
Duties/Responsibilities- Sets up pumps, hoses, reactors, tanks etc.
- Climbs into reactors and tanks to clean and inspect them
- Lifts and transfers bags of raw materials
- Records data readings on batch sheets
- Pumps toxic, flammable and corrosive chemicals
- Moves material containers using lift devices as well as limited physical adjustments by hand with appropriate support
- Fills containers of various sizes
- Pressurizes, heats and cools equipment daily
- Loads and unloads trucks by pressure or pumps
- Completes the requires Area Qualifying Exams within designated timeline
