Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a leading name in manufacturing, seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join their high‑performing production team. This is a key leadership role overseeing a multi‑disciplined manufacturing operation, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety compliance are consistently achieved across a busy and dynamic site.

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you'll take full responsibility for site activity during your shift—leading, motivating, and developing a team of approximately 25 staff across key production areas including decoration, thermoforming, extrusion, and warehousing. You'll drive performance and efficiency, maintaining high levels of output and product quality while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

• Lead, coach, and manage production teams to meet operational and performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
• Monitor production performance and implement actions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Manage shift handovers and ensure clear communication across departments.
• Support training, development, and performance management of team members.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives, identifying process enhancements and cost‑saving opportunities.

• Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role (minimum 3 years).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities.
• ILM Level 3/5 qualification or equivalent desirable.
• Background in plastics or packaging manufacturing advantageous.
• Flexible and reliable approach to a 12-hour rotating shift pattern.
