The Opportunity

Wolviston Management Services are delighted to be supporting a well-established engineering business based in Teesside in the appointment of an experienced CNC Programme Operator. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with strong offline programming capability to join a forward-thinking manufacturing environment with a strong order book and long-term stability.

The Role

As CNC Programme Operator, you will play a key role in the efficient programming and operation of CNC machinery, producing high-quality components to exacting standards. You will be responsible for creating, modifying and optimising programmes offline, supporting continuous improvement across machining processes and working closely with production and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and edit CNC programmes using offline programming software
  • Set, operate and prove out CNC machines to ensure right-first-time production
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately
  • Optimise machining cycles to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Carry out tool selection, offsets and programme adjustments
  • Support fault finding and problem solving on the shop floor
  • Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and HSEQ compliance
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, quality and production teams
About You
  • Proven experience as a CNC Programme Operator within a machining environment
  • Strong offline programming experience (essential)
  • Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and quality focused
  • Able to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team
