About Primer

Primer is a performance-creative agency. We build the ads that drive real results for our clients: static, video, and UGC for paid social on Meta and Tik Tok, backed by strategy, media, and landing-page work. We operate in pods (creative strategists, designers, and production managers working a shared book of clients) and we move fast, iterate constantly, and let performance data tell us what to make next.

The Role

We're bringing on a Creative Strategist to support creative strategy and brief-writing across client accounts. This is a hybrid role: part junior creative strategist, part creative coordinator. You'll write the briefs our designers execute against, help shape the creative direction of a client's assets, and contribute to concepting and strategy, all with the support of a senior Creative Strategist.

We're starting this as a part-time, hourly engagement, likely with a test project up front. It's built as a genuine on-ramp, with room to grow (below).

What You'll Do

• Write clear, actionable creative briefs (ad copy, UGC scripts, video, landing-page direction) that a designer can execute on the first round.
• Help shape and manage the creative direction of a client's assets, keeping work on-brand and on-strategy.
• Contribute to concepting: bringing hooks, angles, and formats worth testing to the strategist you support.
• Help translate ad performance and customer insight into creative input, with a senior CS guiding the strategic calls.
• QA assets against brief, brand, copy, and spec before they move forward.
• Keep briefs, timelines, and status organized and current so the pod isn't chasing you.

Where This Role Can Grow

This is built as an on-ramp. You'll start supporting an account's creative direction and briefs alongside a senior Creative Strategist. As you build a track record, the path opens toward:

• Fuller account support: carrying more of the creative direction and brief load for an account.
• Independent strategy: making more of the data and concepting calls yourself, with lighter oversight.
• Owning accounts: growing into a full Creative Strategist who owns the client relationship and creative strategy end-to-end.

We'll be clear about what earning that growth looks like.

What You Bring

Required

• 3+ years in performance creative or paid social (agency or in-house), with a portfolio of briefs, ad copy, or concepts.
• Sharp writing: briefs and ad copy that come back needing refinement, not rework.
• Can execute on UGC: writes UGC scripts ready for a creator to film or a designer to cut.
• Enough fluency in ad performance (CTR, CPA, ROAS) to turn signals into creative input, with CS support.
• Knows what performs on Meta and Tik Tok.
• AI fluency (ChatGPT, Claude) in day-to-day work.

• Organized and reliable across a part-time schedule and multiple deliverables.
• Direct, professional communication, and overlap with U.S. business hours.
• On camera for internal and external calls.
• Open to feedback and able to apply it without re-litigating.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Motion (creative analytics) or similar ad-performance tools.
• Prior agency experience with client-facing creative work.
