As a PRN Registered Nurse, Occupational Health
, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Buffalo, WV
. The scheduled hours are PRN as needed – both day shift and night shift.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
  • Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice.
  • Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client.
  • Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers.
  • Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
  • Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
  • Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures.
  • Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow‑up care.
  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention.
  • Assists with accident investigations, return‑to‑work programs, and workplace safety initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
  • Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required;
    Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four‑year college or university is preferred.
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required.
  • Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN‑S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites.
  • Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required;
    Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
  • At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic.
  • Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams.
