Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week night shift Med/Surg Tele position requiring Epic experience and a WV or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit

• 16-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5

• Night shifts from 7pm to 7am with rotating weekends and holidays

• 12-hour shifts with no call requirement

• Floating to tele unit may be needed

• Uses the Epic EMR system with prior experience required

• Patient care may include wound management, CBI, assessments, catheter care, and orthopedic procedures

• Care for a diverse adult patient population in Med/Surg and Telemetry settings

• Must pass EKG testing if assigned to PCU, ICU, or Stepdown units

• Holiday and weekend coverage is required as part of the rotation

• Travelers with previous WVU Medicine experience must have a 2-year separation from prior employment

• Travelers may not work within WVU facilities for more than 1 consecutive year and must take a 2-year break before returning

• No local travelers accepted per 50-mile radius rule

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active WV or compact state RN license required

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required

• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required

• Prior experience with Epic charting system required

• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
