Process Manager / Process Engineer – Stainless Structurals

Stainless Structurals is hiring a Process Manager / Process Engineer to lead day-to-day quality/process operations. You'll report to our Chief Quality Officer.

TASKS and RESPONSABILITY:

• Plan and supervise daily NDT (VT, PT, MT, UT, macro-etch) and approve NDT reports

• Lead in-process and final QC inspection across laser cutting, laser welding, pressing, grinding, straightening and blasting

• Verify weld quality against qualified WPS/WQTR records and codes such as AWS D1.6 and ASTM A1069

• Control order release: confirm reports, MTRs, heat traceability and C of C before anything ships

• Own quality records, document control and calibration

• Drive nonconformance disposition and root-cause corrective action

• Support ISO 9001 / AS9100 internal audits and supplier quality

• Supervise, train and coach NDT technicians and QC inspectors

BACKGROUND AND

EXPERIENCE:

• technical degree

• 5+ years in quality, inspection or production in the welding field

• 2+ years supervising inspectors or technicians

• Working knowledge of welding codes (AWS D1.1/D1.6, ASME IX) and WPS/PQR/WQTR

• Ability to read drawings, GD&T and material test reports

• Experience with NCRs, CAPA and document control in an ISO 9001 environment

Highly valued

• ASNT NDT Level II or III (VT, PT, MT, UT) – Level III strongly preferred

• AWS CWI or SCWI

• Laser beam welding, stainless metallurgy or AS9100 experience

• ASQ certification (CQA, CQE, CMQ/OE)
