Position: Lead Customer Service Associate

Reports to:

Store Manager/Assistant Manager

Purpose of Position:
To provide excellent customer service that exceeds Company Goals and Expectations of Total Quality Service to our Guests. Assist Store Management in daily store operations. In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, the Lead Customer Service Associate will provide leadership and support. The Lead will direct CSAs on assigned tasks, follow up, and provide feedback.

  • Availability: Must be available to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by Store Management.
  • Driving on Company Business: Maintain a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance for driving company purposes. Must sign a “Statement of Understanding” acknowledging these requirements.
  • Safety: Enforce all safety measures, ensure a safe work environment, and report injuries immediately with an Incident Report.
  • Guests: Greet and acknowledge guests courteously, maintain high guest satisfaction, and promptly address complaints.
  • Image: Maintain a professional store atmosphere, ensure proper dress code, and uphold company standards for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Training: Complete relevant training, assist in training store employees, and utilize the “Manager’s Redbook” for shift management.
  • Compliance: Follow all applicable laws and company policies, including laws related to alcohol, tobacco, lottery, and health regulations. Enforce no tobacco smoking policy and alcohol sale regulations.
  • Loss Prevention: Follow policies to prevent theft, handle cash and inventory accurately, and report discrepancies.
  • Promotions and Community Engagement: Support store promotions, events, and community activities.
  • Food Service: Maintain food service standards, ensure proper handling, and comply with health regulations.
  • Receiving Merchandise & Vendor Procedures: Properly receive merchandise, verify invoices, and follow vendor protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours on a hard surface.
  • Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in cold environments (coolers, freezers).
  • Handle chemicals safely.
  • Climb ladders and reach high shelves.
  • Perform various physical tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching.
  • Corrected hearing and vision are required for safety and task performance.
  • Respond calmly to stressful situations and emergencies.
  • Maintain sobriety and alertness at all times.
