Job Description
A fast-growing wholesale mortgage company is making a significant investment in its sales organization as it builds toward aggressive growth in 2027.
This is not a traditional “go build a book from scratch” AE opportunity.
The company has already built relationships with hundreds of enterprise accounts representing tens of thousands of Loan Officers and generates hundreds of mortgage scenarios each week. The opportunity is to activate more of that network, convert existing demand into funded production and build recurring relationships with Loan Officers and brokers.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
You will have access to an established network rather than starting with a blank territory.
The company also offers differentiated Buy Before You Sell solutions that help Loan Officers solve purchase transactions involving trapped equity, debt-to-income challenges, sale timing and the need to make stronger non-contingent offers.
This creates a different sales conversation.
The value is not simply rate or price. Successful AEs understand the borrower’s problem, identify the right solution, explain why it works and give the Loan Officer confidence to use it with their client.
What You'll Do
- Develop production across an existing network of Loan Officers, brokers and lending partners
- Prospect within inactive and underpenetrated accounts rather than waiting for scenarios to arrive
- Convert mortgage scenarios into funded transactions
- Diagnose transaction challenges and help partners identify the appropriate solution
- Educate Loan Officers on Buy Before You Sell, bridge and related purchase solutions
- Turn first-time users into recurring relationships
- Identify and develop new broker and LO relationships outside the existing network
- Conduct product presentations, training and relationship-development meetings
- Maintain consistent follow-up and account activity across a large relationship base
What Success Looks Like
During the initial ramp period, successful AEs will develop strong product fluency, establish meaningful relationships within their assigned accounts and begin converting scenarios into funded production. Once ramped, the expectation is to expand account adoption and repeat usage. The strongest performers will create their own opportunity in addition to converting existing scenario activity.
Who Will Be Successful
This role is best suited for a mortgage salesperson who combines production, relationship development and problem solving.
The strongest candidates know how to hunt for business, but they are equally comfortable slowing down to understand a transaction and educate a Loan Officer on a solution they may never have used before.
You may be a strong fit if you are:
- A current or recently active Wholesale/TPO Account Executive
- Experienced developing broker and Loan Officer relationships
- Comfortable working complex mortgage scenarios
- Strong at teaching and presenting unfamiliar products
- Experienced with purchase lending and understanding the broader real estate transaction
- Able to turn an initial transaction into recurring account activity
- Comfortable selling differentiated solutions
- Entrepreneurial, self-directed and highly accountable
- Motivated by performance-based, uncapped compensation
Experience with Non-QM, DSCR, bridge lending, Bank Statement, Alt-Doc or other specialty mortgage products is particularly relevant because these environments require creativity, product knowledge and consultative selling.
Strong producing Loan Officers or mortgage sales leaders may also be considered when they bring meaningful industry relationships, mortgage depth and a demonstrated ability to develop business.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants both runway and resources: an established network, meaningful scenario activity, differentiated products and the ability to build a significant book of recurring production.
