As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security‑related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter unwanted activity, and providing outstanding customer service and communication.

Job Schedule:

Day Time (Fri 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM)

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Monitor access points to help deter unauthorized entry and maintain security‑related protocols at the location.
• Verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises, following site‑specific policies and procedures.
• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help deter suspicious activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or security‑related breaches according to Allied Universal guidelines.
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as required during incidents or emergencies.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
