Position: E&I Maintenance Technician

Location: Ellesmere Port

Salary: £38-42k (DOE), and excellent benefits package

Hours: Full time, 4 days on, 6 days off. Shift work – Days and Nights.

The Site: A dedicated High Temperature Incinerator (HTI), which has been securely treating hazardous waste streams covering laboratory waste and contaminated electrical equipment to a wide range of liquids and solids for over 30 years.

One of the most technically advanced in Europe, and the largest of its type in the UK, the HTI facility performs a key role in the industrial infrastructure and currently treats 100,000 tonnes each year.

• Provide site E&I maintenance support on a shift basis
• Safe isolations of electrical and instrumentation equipment
• Overhaul & test of all site E&I equipment
• Inspection test and service of all site electrical equipment
• Fixed wiring inspection and defect repair of all site electrical equipment
• Fault diagnosis and resolution of E&I problems across site
• Calibration of site instrumentation equipment
• Installation & commissioning of minor E&I projects

• Time served Electrical/Instrumentation background
• E&I qualification (ONC/HNC/NVQ 3 or similar)
• BS7671 18th edition (although 16th or 17th edition will be considered)
• DSEAR / ATEX knowledge (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations/ATmospheres EXplosible)
• Functional safety knowledge
• Computer literate
