**** Overview
* * The Water Park Safety Supervisor supervises, monitors, schedules, and coordinates Head Lifeguards, EMTs, Lifeguards, and Waterpark Attendants to provide for patron safety and incident response during park operations. Work is done seasonally.
** Essential Functions
**** 1
* * Supervises, schedules, and coordinates the efforts of all Head Lifeguards, Lifeguards, Waterpark Attendants, and EMT's on a weekly and seasonal basis; provides leadership, direction, guidance, and support.
** 2
* * Monitors and maintains water chemistry by conducting water chemical tests and documents all recordings daily ensuring compliance with health codes, adding chemicals or contacting help when needed
** 3
* * Completes, reviews, and checks required reports daily including accident and injury reports as well as daily inspections; ensures all work is done in compliance with rules, standards, and operational guidelines.

* * Conducts weekly Inservice training for Lifeguards, Waterpark Attendants, and other aquatics safety personnel; maintains and documents training efforts and logs.

* * Enforces Pool Rules and Policies daily, serves as a lifeguard on duty when needed and observes lifeguards and swimmers in the water in a proactive manner

* * Assists with Pre-Season Lifeguard Training and operations
** 7
* * Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned.
** Knowledge and Skills

* * Knowledge of Lifeguarding and first aid skills and conducting inservice training for aquatic safety personnel.
** 2
* * Knowledge of pool safety and City policies.
** 3
* * Knowledge of water park rules for operation.
** 4
* * Knowledge of swimming pool maintenance and chemistry.
** 5
* * Ability to supervise, lead, schedule and train lifeguarding and safety personnel.
** 6
* * Ability to identify distressed persons.
** 7
* * Ability to handle emergency situations quickly and effectively,
** 8
* * Ability to swim, run, walk, stand, and perform a wide range of physical abilities.
** 9
* * Ability to provide customer service and ensure patron safety for a large number of patrons at a large aquatics facility.
** 10
* * Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
** 11
* * Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
** Experience
* ** Two season (6 Months) Customer Service experience including one season (3 months) Lead Lifeguard,
* or: 1 year teaching , coaching, or positions that involve supervising, teaching, training, and/or managing groups of young people typically ages 15- 21.
** Licenses and Certifications

* * High School Diploma, GED
** Salary Range**$22.32 - $24.56
