Summer Field Trip Camp Teacher

Job Overview

Black Rocket provides unique educational programs to children and young adults. We seek an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual to work as an outdoor and field trip instructor with our NJ based day camps.

• Summer seasonal position (4-8 weeks)
• Curriculum and materials are provided
• Learn fun science activities to bring back to your students during the school year
• Spend the summer with our amazing students having fun at camp
• Paid training
• Fishing, archaeology, geology, marine biology, and environmental science

• Ability to travel to Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, NJ (and other central NJ sites as required)
• Teaching or student teaching experience in K-12 schools strongly preferred
• Experience with children in a camp or educational setting
• Experience with children ages
  -14
• Must be comfortable leading a group of up to 15 students independently through hands‑on activities across multiple domains
• Ability to manage and organize equipment and materials, including paid prep time before and after classes

Rate: $20/hr - $25/hr (some listings indicate $24/hr - $28/hr)

Travel to Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, NJ and other central NJ sites (one site per week, Monday‑Friday) may be required.
