Job DescriptionThe district is seeking an elementary and special education certified (NJDOE) educator for home instruction of a student in a primary grade. Up to 10 hours/week.
Position Title: Home Instruction Teacher
Position Type: Part-Time / Hourly (As Needed)
Compensation: $50.00 per hour (Contractual Rate)
Bargaining Unit: WWPEA
Position Overview
The district is seeking qualified educators to serve as a Home Instruction Teachers. This position provides direct, one-on-one in-person instruction to an out-of-school student to ensure educational continuity during a period of homebound status.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver home instruction aligned with district curriculum standards and coursework goals.
Coordinate with district staff and subject-area teachers to obtain curriculum materials, assignments, and assessments.
Maintain precise records of instructional hours, student attendance, and academic progress.
Submit required home instruction logs and paperwork in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate.
Successful completion of the district substitute/Board of Education approval process prior to beginning the assignment.
Compliance with state post-retirement employment rules (if applicable):
WW-P Retirees: Must meet the mandatory 180-day separation (Bonafide Severance) from employment requirement prior to the start of the assignment.
Other NJ District Retirees: Must meet the mandatory 30-day separation from employment requirement.

Salary: $50 to $50 Per Hour
