Open Sky supports adults with developmental and intellectual challenges referred by the Department of Developmental Services. Each resident is encouraged to participate in community life through volunteering, classes, group outings, or health clubs. Our dedicated staff provides the supports and skills necessary to build a successful and satisfying community life, enabling residents to lead meaningful and active lives.

The Residential Counselor works to help individuals with developmental disabilities live independently, providing evidence‑based treatment and care within a group living environment. The counselor guides, advocates, and performs activities of daily living, ensuring health, safety, and well‑being of residents.

• Assist in developing individualized, person‑centered treatment plans and lead the daily implementation.
• Implement all procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of residents and maintain cleanliness and safety of the facility.
• Assist residents in accessing transportation as needed.
• Review and complete all required documentation.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, required.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

• Excellent supervision (individual and group), professional development, and training opportunities.
