Position Summary

The QA Supervisor is responsible for leading quality assurance activities across both onshore and offshore resources to ensure the delivery of high‑quality, stable, and functional systems. This role manages a small QA team, including one direct report and offshore testing resources. The QA Supervisor will be hands‑on while also driving maturity in QA practices, improving documentation, automation, and consistency across projects.

This role requires strong coordination, clear communication, and the ability to work across time zones to ensure seamless delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise day‑to‑day QA operations, overseeing onshore and offshore QA activities.
  • Directly manage one onshore QA engineer and assign/coordinate tasks for offshore QA testers.
  • Develop, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned to requirements and business goals.
  • Execute and support manual and automated tests for functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Serve as escalation point for offshore QA issues and ensure proper alignment of resources to sprint and release goals.
  • Champion the advancement of QA maturity across the organization — including standardization, process improvements, and tooling enhancements.
  • Monitor and report on QA metrics, including test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and PMs to clarify requirements, ensure testability, and validate outcomes.
  • Support knowledge sharing, documentation, and onboarding across global QA teams.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

IT Services & Operations, Technology, QA teams across time zones, PMs, Developers, Business Analysts among others.

Requirements

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Minimum Experience
  • 7‑9 years of QA experience in software or systems testing environments.
  • Experience coordinating and managing offshore QA teams and distributed testing efforts.
  • Ability to operate independently and lead small teams through test cycles and process improvements.
  • Proficient with QA tools such as Azure Dev Ops, JIRA, Zephyr, Test Rail, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and coordinate efforts across time zones.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify gaps in QA process and contribute to team improvement.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with test automation tools and scripting (e.g., Selenium, Postman, or similar).
  • Familiarity with API, database, or performance testing.
  • Automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Puppeteer, Selenium, etc.)
  • POS (Point of Sale) Experience.
Licenses/Certifications
  • ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
Soft Skills/Competencies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and build collaborative relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Conditions:

Typically, Monday – Friday, 8+ hour days in office setting, may be able to work 1 day from home with approval.
