Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, support seasonal resets and installations, and occasionally work with other products from different companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00 to $17.00 depending on skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are 10‑12 per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Role and Responsibilities

You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, mass retailers). The role has three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products. Use technology for communication, reporting, feedback, and surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, expect additional days and extended hours. You may be required to work on the holiday itself, which may include weekends.
  • Department resets:
    Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Usually notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job requiring energy and a sense of urgency. Work on the selling floor and back stockrooms. Must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons and fixtures up to 30 pounds daily and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must kneel, squat, walk, stand throughout the day, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
