The Westbrook School Department is seeking a full‑time Educational Technician III for its Functional Life Skills programs. The position will require supporting students with varying needs in grades K‑4 within the special education and general education settings. The position requires the ability to work with students at differing levels academically, socially, and emotionally. The qualified candidate will be given competitive salaries and benefits, three college courses paid each year, continued professional development, and opportunities for summer employment.

Westbrook School District Special Services Department provides student‑centered instruction to support the diverse learning needs of students district wide, in grades kindergarten through high school. Our innovative staff employ evidence‑based literacy and mathematics programs to promote student success. We offer programming and related services across a continuum of settings. These programs foster a learning community that supports students’ academic, social‑emotional, functional, and pre‑vocational needs.

Saccarappa Elementary is a PK‑4 school of approximately 400 learners and 80 dedicated staff. The average class size is just 17 students. In addition to literacy and numeracy, our curriculum includes classes in art, music, STEAM, physical education, and library. Technology resources and skills are integrated across the curriculum and school settings. Our Title I school proudly offers Multilingual, Special Education, MTSS, and Gifted and Talented programs.
Staff collaborate to provide support for a wide range of diverse learners. Professional Learning Communities meet weekly during early releases. We are proud of the partnership we have with families, the Saccarappa PTO, and many community members who make Saccarappa School a special place to teach and learn.
