Regulatory Compliance Specialist
The Human Resources Business Partner provides support to the business through assisting in data collection and maintenance, communication distribution, responding to employee inquiries, and the administration of policies, benefits, payroll, and all day‑to‑day responsibilities. This HSS shared services position will support Chadwick‑BaRoss and Thompson Equipment and be based out of their corporate office in Westbrook, Maine.
Salary Range: $65,000 – $92,000

- 1-3 years in HR administration
- HR diploma or certificate preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Works and employment law knowledge
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Customer‑focused and problem‑solving mindset
- Attention to detail and confidentiality
- Valid driver’s license
- Assist in creating and implementing SOPs
- Support HR communications, program rollouts, and compliance tracking
- Reconcile and process benefit and vendor billing
- Maintain confidentiality of business records and employee files
- Review and communicate applicant tracking system updates as needed
- Process weekly payroll and employee inquiries
- Administer benefits programs and support policy implementation
- Handle unemployment, wage verifications, and audit reports
- Conduct new employee orientations
- Support leave of absence and return‑to‑work procedures
- Provide administrative and project support to HR Manager
- Assist with engagement initiatives, recognition events, and company activities
- Participate in hiring, discipline, and termination processes
- Communicate company goals, values, and expectations
- Address conflicts and promote teamwork
- Adhere to safety guidelines and perform other assigned duties
