IDEXX Veterinary Software and Services - Vello Product Specialist – Vello Integration with ezyVet

The Vello Software Product Specialist (“PS”) will consult and coach veterinary practices on the setup and configuration of their Vello software and Vello Client Communications integration with ezyVet. In this role you are both trainer and consultant, guiding customers to understand how choices in software design impact workflow. You will also encourage Vello best practices, including Preventative Care – Printed Postcard Adoption and other features that help the practice grow, increase revenue, and maximize patient care.

In addition, the role may require taking on additional skills and onboarding of additional products (IDEXX DX Integrations, Cornerstone/Professional Service Training, Smart Flow, rVetLink, Neo, ezyVet, etc.) as business needs change. The position is virtual based with up to 25% travel for adoption assistance, educational summits, professional training, and occasional software launches. You will manage your schedule based on customer needs while focusing on professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Answer customer questions, explain products and services, instruct in use of equipment, configure hardware or software, troubleshoot and repair system, database or data communication issues, customer order entry and billing
  • Determine customer needs, research and provide solutions, coordinating with other team members as needed
  • Ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Support quality management system and other compliance requirements
Qualifications
  • Technical aptitude; early adopter of new technology
  • Experience training adult learners preferred but candidates will be trained
  • Comfortable with public speaking and leading meetings with multiple participants
  • Ability to consult with individuals on best practice guidelines as provided by product teams
  • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations, with demonstrated ability to lead without authority
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present and explain information persuasively
  • General business understanding of the veterinary industry and practice workflow
  • Ability to build strong customer and peer partnerships and gain trust
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work in a dynamic environment and make timely decisions
  • Attention to detail; ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve customer issues including business and technical, driving resolutions that benefit the customer and IDEXX

  • Comfortable learning and using technology (SaaS programs) and working with computers; use of telephone, email, Salesforce, GUIDEcx and other SaaS solutions

Working Options
  • Hybrid: 2 days onsite in our Frisco, TX office, 3 days remote per week
