IDEXX Veterinary Software and Services – Vello Product Specialist – Vello Integration with Cornerstone

Role Summary

As a Vello Software Product Specialist ("PS"), you will act as a consultant and trainer, guiding veterinary practices on the setup and configuration of their Vello software and Vello Client Communications integration with ezyVet. You will coach clients on best practices, such as Preventative Care, Printed Postcard Adoption, and other features that drive growth and patient care. You may also take on additional products such as IDEXX DX Integrations, Cornerstone, Smart Flow, rVetLink, Neo, ezyVet, etc.,

as business needs evolve.

Responsibilities
  • Answer customer questions, explain products and services, instruct in equipment use, configure software, troubleshoot, repair systems, resolve database and data communication issues, order entry, and billing.
  • Determine customer needs, research and provide solutions, and coordinate with other team members as needed.
  • Ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Support the quality management system and other compliance requirements.
What Do You Need to Succeed?
  • Technical aptitude and a willingness to adopt new technology.
  • Experience training adult learners (formal or informal). If not, training will be provided.
  • Comfort with public speaking and leading multi‑participant meetings.
  • Ability to consult on best practice guidelines and manage customer expectations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present and explain information effectively.
  • General business understanding of the veterinary industry, including practice workflow, roles, client communication, and preventative care practices.
  • Ability to build strong customer and peer partnerships.
  • Strong planning and prioritization in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail and troubleshooting skills; ability to diagnose and resolve customer issues, both business and technical.
  • Effective listening skills to discover customer needs and adapt approach.
  • Comfort learning and using technology (SaaS programs) and working with computers; use of phone, email, Salesforce, GUIDEx, and other SaaS solutions.

Working Options

We have three options for this role. If you live in or near Frisco, TX or Westbrook, ME, you will be required to be in the office 8 days per month. Options:

  • Hybrid: 2 days onsite in the Frisco, TX office and 3 days remote per week.
  • Hybrid: 2 days onsite in the Westbrook, ME office and 3 days remote per week.
  • Virtual:
    Available by phone, voicemail, email, and Teams during scheduled business hours. Requires a high‑speed internet connection (min. 15 Mbps download; 3 Mbps upload). IDEXX supplies a laptop, docking station, monitor(s), and headset.
