About ConvenientMD

At Convenient

MD, we’re on a mission to make good health more convenient for all – improving the patient and provider experience in New England. We build a team of dedicated professionals who genuinely care about improving lives, passion for work that makes a difference, and a desire to learn from one another.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team as a Lead Provider, responsible for exceptional care and making a real impact on the lives of our patients within our urgent care clinic. Lead Providers act as clinical leaders for all clinical staff, mentoring and supporting new‑grad providers as well as allied healthcare professionals.

Your Impact
  • Provide Patient‑Centered Care
    • Conduct health assessments, physical exams, review medical histories and address short‑ and long‑term patient needs.
    • Determine abnormal conditions using diagnostic tests (e.g., X‑rays, ECGs, laboratory studies) and interpret results.
    • Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound management.
    • Educate and counsel patients on health, therapeutic regimens, family planning and wellness.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Prepare clear, complete, accurate and legible medical records for each patient.
    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with company and state procedures.
    • Adhere to infection‑control policies and protocols.
    • Comply with legal and professional requirements and advise management on necessary actions.
  • Collaborate with a Team – Work collaboratively and proactively with other providers and health‑care practitioners to treat patients efficiently, plan coordinated dispositions, and ensure timely care.
  • Lead When Manager Absent – Provide support and mentorship to new‑graduate providers and other clinic staff.
  • Maintain Professional Knowledge – Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, establish networks and participate in professional societies.
  • Preceptor – Provide educational opportunities and experiential growth to new provider staff.
Who You Are
  • Education, Licensure & Certifications
    • Master’s degree and certification by an NP certifying body.
    • DEA license with no restrictions.
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross). CPR, ACLS or online‑only classes are not accepted.
  • Relevant Experience – Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care or ambulatory care is preferred.
  • Leadership Skills – Willing and able to mentor provider and non‑provider clinic staff.
  • Team Player – Enjoy collaboration and a strong team dynamic.
  • Communicator – Proactive, confident with strong written and verbal communication, unafraid of professional directness.
  • Compassionate & Patient‑Focused – Supports patients through kindness and fosters a community of belonging.
  • Technically Savvy – Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and clinical management systems (EMR).
  • Knowledge – Principles of customer service, federal, state and local laws (HIPAA, OSHA), pharmacology, non‑pharmaceutical aids and medical practice procedures.
Benefits
  • Collaborative team environment encouraging professional growth.
  • Urgent care services at no cost to team members and families.
  • Extensive benefits: health, dental, vision; company‑paid short‑term disability; optional pet insurance.
  • 401(k) match after one year of service.
  • Access to primary care (depending on location).
  • Educational alliance with Purdue University Global and reduced tuition rates for team members and families.
  • Employer rewards and discounts on services and products.
