For a limited time Maine Health is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 1-2 years of experience, and up to $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN experience!

The Registered Nurse - Charge - Behavioral Health role assumes frontline leadership in the daily operations of the department and works collaboratively with departmental staff, physicians/advanced practice practitioners, hospital staff, pre-hospital providers and community agencies to provide oversight and direction for the delivery of safe patient and family centered care.

The Child Psychiatric Unit at Spring Harbor Hospital specializes in the care of children. We offer a 12-bed unit designed for the care of children, generally ages from 6-12 years old and as young as 4, who require acute mental health treatment. Typically, these patients are imminent risk to themselves or others or are unable to function at a lower level of care due to their psychiatric symptoms.

Our multidisciplinary patient care team specializes in the treatment of diagnoses most commonly found in children and adolescents.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• License/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must complete within 30 days of start date. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification RN-BC preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Two years of relevant experience preferred, experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
