Work Location/Structure: Prefer candidate in Maine or in the vicinity to be able to come in for a day if needed. Must be within 4 hours travel time to Westbrook, ME office when needed.
About the OpportunityOur client, a leader in the Healthcare industry, is looking for a skilled Senior QE Software Engineer to join their team for a 6 months (likely to extend) engagement. This project involves ensuring their applications meet the highest standards of quality, usability, and performance through manual & automation testing methodologies, test case design, defect tracking, and quality assurance best practices. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables- Review and analyze business requirements, specifications, and technical documents.
- Design, develop, and execute detailed, comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
- Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, exploratory.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams during the development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Ensure test coverage, traceability, and quality metrics are met.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and review their test cases for completeness and accuracy.
- Provide input on improving testing processes and tools.
- Support UAT and provide feedback based on end-user perspectives.
- Manage End to End ecosystem testing
- Strong Communication Skills
- Quality Engineering Leadership Experience
- Java coding & DB (SQL) skills
