Veterinary Technician Internal Medicine

VCA Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center of Westbury, is growing and to better support the pets and people in our community we are in search of an experienced licensed veterinary technician to be a part of our Internal Medicine team.

Are you interested in obtaining your Veterinary Technician Specialty? We have the ability to support the most advanced cases with cutting-edge technology utilizing our CT, MRI, and hyperbaric oxygen chamber (HBOT). We support full technician skill utilization and are dedicated to provide gold standard medicine and exceptional patient care. Our outstanding medicine is supported by a VTS in (ECC), and a VTS in (SAIM) and we continue to support a hospital culture of growth and development for all levels of technician.

Compensation: $28 - $37 / hour based on skill set, 3
-5 years of experience, and licensure status (LVT, VTS)

Full time (4)10 hour shifts, holiday rotation, flexible schedule

Licensed Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician Duties:

* Procedural anesthesia monitoring

* Full Technician Skill Utilization, bronchoscopy, endoscopes, and more!

* Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams

* Venipuncture / IVC placement

* Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)

* Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services

* Providing compassionate care for all patients
