About The Job

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors, the Clinical Dietitian applies medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to promote health and provide nutrition care services in the treatment of disease and restoration of health. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participating in patient satisfaction, quality management, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.

What You ll Do

• Exhibits Mount Carmel Service Excellence Behavior Standards, including accountability and role modeling excellence for all to see.
• Develops, implements and documents plan of care based on assessments of nutritional needs in correlation with other health care plans
• Continues to update professional knowledge, interprets and utilizes pertinent nutrition research, engages in applied nutrition research as needed, and incorporatess evidence-based practices in patient care
• Provides in-service and nutrition education for the healthcare team members; serves as a liaison between the Nutrition Services Department and individual patient care units

What We re Looking For

• Education:
  
  Bachelor s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university
• Licensure / Certification:
  Current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential as a Registered Dietitian, or registry eligible with attainment of RD credential within six months of hire. Current dietetic licensure in Ohio. Completes continuing professional education requirements to maintain credentials
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 1 year experience preferred
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, regulatory standards, and technical information. Ability to write professional correspondence and present information to groups of medical staff, healthcare professionals, managers, and internal and external customers
