Activities of the Business Development Manager – Industrial Solutions include, but are not limited to, furthering relationships with existing clients, prospecting new clients, troubleshooting with clients to develop solutions, supporting proposal and estimating efforts, participation in industry events, and using a CRM to manage contacts and leads. This role combines technical understanding of construction and fabrication with the soft skills of developing solutions.
DesiredExperience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in MEP maintenance, construction, or fabrication, with 15+ years preferred
- High School Education or equivalent required
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another Engineering discipline is a plus, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft software including Word and Outlook
- Excel in a collaborative, team environment where every voice matters
- Support existing clients in achieving their goals by providing solutions and maintaining relationships
- Prospect new clients and build relationships to support their goals
- Set up meetings between client decision‑makers and the company’s practice leaders
- Support the development of proposals and quotes, including schedules or estimates
- Maintain CRM data set including leads, opportunities, contacts, companies, and competitors
- Attend industry events to expand network and promote Kokosing
- Participate in key industry groups at local, state, and national levels
- Perform other duties as assigned
