- Provide assistance to students entering and exiting the school bus, including:
- Helping students climb or descend bus steps
- Properly seating students
- Securing car seats and ensuring students are properly seated
- Storing and safeguarding students' possessions
- Assisting the driver as a navigational aid
- Other duties may include operating wheelchair lifts, securing wheelchairs, and student discipline, as determined collaboratively with the driver.
- CPR certification
- Training tailored to individual student needs, as determined by the school nurse.
