Our Westfield, MA Production Site is currently seeking an experienced EHS Specialist who excels in a fast‑paced environment and can bring a world‑class continuous improvement safety mindset to the team.
Salary Range: $75,000 to $90,000 – depending on experience.

- Designs and implements safety and environmental policies and procedures including, but not limited to, written programs, record‑keeping, reports, inspections, monitoring, testing, and training.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations by staying informed about changes, interpreting requirements, and implementing necessary adjustments to programs, processes, and policies.
- Facilitates EHS training programs to employees at all levels to ensure knowledge, understanding, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- Conducts and documents regular EHS audits and inspections as needed to assure compliance with applicable permits, regulations, and requirements.
- Manages and coordinates visits from internal and external regulatory authorities and file annual local, state, and federal environmental reports potentially including air, waste, water, Tier II, and Form R.
- Directs and provides guidance to the site safety committee with inspections to assess compliance with policies and regulations, identifying, determining, and implementing corrective and preventative measures for existing and potential hazard areas.
- Manages workers’ compensation cases and EHS programs, including cost control/reduction and accident prevention/reduction, safety behavior audit, and risk assessment programs.
- Develops protocols and manages the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Develops and maintains a culture of continuous improvement in EHS performance by evaluating existing programs, identifying areas for enhancement, and coordinating the development of an EHS improvement strategic plan in collaboration with site managers.
- Develops safety strategies to correct and prevent potential accidents or health hazards by analyzing safety history, manufacturing processes, product machinery, and chemical exposures to determine safety hazards and identify trends.
- All other duties as assigned.
- BS required in a related field.
- Certifications preferred:
Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). - 3‑6 years’ experience in a related field.
- Subject matter expert in a particular field.
- Knowledge of Tier II, SPCC, Air Regulations, Stormwater, Spill Planning, Hazardous/Special Wastes, Universal Waste, Machine Guarding, LOTO, Risk Management/Assessments, Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Outlook.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
- Exceptional time‑management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
- Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
- Self‑confident, self‑motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast‑paced environment.
