With nearly 50 professionals, we work on projects that shape the future of transportation across the Northeast, collaborating with state DOTs, municipalities, and private clients to make travel safer and more accessible. Whether it’s designing roads, bridges, or multimodal systems, we ensure our designs are sustainable, cost‑effective, and forward‑thinking.

Responsibilities,

Requirements, And Total Rewards What You’ll Be Doing Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design of roadway infrastructure including alignments, grading, drainage, and traffic control
  • Prepare engineering drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Support senior engineers in meeting project goals and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal standards
  • Assist with drainage modeling, traffic control planning, and design documentation
  • Perform site visits to collect field data and support construction activities
  • Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station) to prepare and revise design plans
  • Help review contractor submittals, RFIs, and support construction administration tasks
  • Coordinate with internal teams, municipalities, and regulatory agencies during design and permitting
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Passed your FE Exam and obtained your EIT certification, or planning to by June 2026
  • Strong interest in roadway and transportation design
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Micro Station
  • Basic knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, or state DOT standards
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate, and take initiative in a team environment
Preferred Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
  • Experience or coursework related to corridor modeling in Civil 3D
  • Exposure to fieldwork, including inspections or data collection
  • Understanding of common project delivery methods (Design‑Bid‑Build, Design‑Build, etc.)
  • Interest in obtaining a PE license and engaging in professional development

  • The annual salary for a Staff Engineer 1 in Transportation is set at $77,376 for a candidate graduating with a Bachelor's degree in 2026
  • The annual salary for a Staff Engineer 1 in Transportation is set at $81,536 for a candidate graduating with a Master's degree or PhD in 2026
