Manager, Personal Lines – Greylock Insurance Agency

Responsibilities
  • Perform supervisory and insurance functions in conformance with agency policies, strategies, and procedures.
  • Provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to clients, prospective clients, and guests.
  • Manage client relationships, ensure accurate policy servicing, and drive sales of auto, homeowner, and other personal insurance products by leading a team of account managers.
  • Lead and mentor a team of account managers, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and coaching.
  • Travel to other offices as needed for meetings, training sessions, or office coverage.
  • Meet or exceed personal lines production goals set by the Senior Vice President, Personal Lines.
  • Provide customer service to a small personal lines book of business, including policy changes, inquiries, processing insurance policies, and educating customers about coverage.
  • Work with the Operations Administrator to ensure all systems, procedures, rate and product changes, and insurance company regulations are communicated to and adhered to by staff.
  • Coordinate and maintain strong working relationships with underwriting and marketing personnel from partner companies.
  • Maintain communications with Greylock Federal Credit Union employees regarding referrals to the Agency.
  • Ensure customer service standards of the Agency are met.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of company‑specific products and services and assist management with implementing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and reconcile problems and complaints referred by customers and staff.
  • Participate in various civic and community activities; actively develop new business and promote Agency services within the community.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in specialized coursework and training.
  • P&C license.
  • Three years of experience in insurance services.
  • Proven supervisory, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate a team.
  • Computer proficiency, excellent phone etiquette, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Professional appearance and ability to maintain confidentiality.
