Outside Sales Consultant

Overview

Outside Sales Consultant at JP Carroll Roofing (Westfield, MA). The role focuses on providing roofing and exterior improvement solutions to homeowners, conducting in-home inspections, assessing customer needs, and delivering compelling presentations to help homeowners make informed decisions.

• Follow up on company-provided leads, complete bids, and close sales.
• Conduct multiple in-home roofing and exterior inspections daily.
• Identify customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and guide them through the consultation process.
• Deliver dynamic, company-approved presentations to educate and inform homeowners.
• Maintain a professional and organized appearance, including vehicle and sales materials.
• Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and trade shows.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork (contracts, financing, etc.) is properly completed.
• Adhere to company sales processes and best practices.

• Required:
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record & background check.
• Comfortable working on roofs, climbing ladders, and accessing attics.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport and build trust.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Ability to use CRM software, Microsoft Office, and iOS tools.
• Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Preferred:
• In-home sales or home improvement sales experience (roofing experience not required).
• Initial Training:
• Comprehensive paid training program; 2-week classroom training with additional field training.
• Paid training class session (expenses covered).
• Must be comfortable with 2 weeks paid training - potentially in another city.

• Flexible weekly schedule with evening and weekend appointments as needed.
• Regularly engaged in outside sales, requiring travel to customer locations.

• Estimate of Total Expected Annual Earnings: $150,000 - $250,000
• Initial training pay
• Post-training uncapped commission structure (1st year earnings target $150,000 - $250,000).
• Pre-set and pre-qualified leads provided by our call center & marketing team.
• Performance-based bonus opportunities.
