SW Test Engineer

We are seeking a SW Test Engineer to help design and develop Nokia’s routers and chassis based on Open Community NOS (SONiC), evolving in Data Center Networks (DCN
2025).

Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; candidates with a degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering are preferred. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of IPv4/IPv6 and routing protocols, especially Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
• Experience with Linux and Python programming; shell scripting knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in IP networking testing and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of hardware architecture of switching/routing products.
• Experience with industry-standard packet generators.
• Experience in software development using Python.

Self-starter with problem-solving skills, good communication, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team.

The employee will execute, enhance, and design sophisticated tests to verify feature conformance and functionality against specifications laid out by Product Marketing.

• Drive features to completion for GA release, collaborating extensively with Software, Hardware, Firmware, and Product Marketing teams.
• Develop, modify, and execute software test plans; create automated test cases using Python in Pytest environment.
• Analyze and write test standards and procedures; document test results for debugging and software modification.
• Analyze test results to ensure functionality and recommend corrective actions.

Consult with engineers to resolve issues and provide feedback for technical assessments of programming languages, systems, and software.
