Day in the Life of the Building of the Future
We are looking for a seasoned and detailed-oriented Platform Product Manager to lead the definition, evolution, and scale of our One Security Platform (OSP); a cloud-native platform underpinning our Access Control, Video Surveillance, and AI-powered security products.
This is a pivotal role responsible for enabling product teams, partners, and developers to innovate and build upon a shared, extensible foundation. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience building and launching software platforms, a deep technical understanding of APIs, multi-tenant cloud architecture, and ideally a background in physical security or IoT integrated solutions.
What you will do & how you will do it:Platform Strategy & Roadmap
Own and define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the core platform services and APIs that power OSP.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and architecture teams to build scalable, secure, and reusable services.
Translating stakeholder needs into platform capabilities that enable rapid product development across teams.
Developer Ecosystem & Integration Enablement
Define APIs, SDKs, and frameworks to enable third-party partners to integrate with OSP.
Champion a great developer experience (DX): from onboarding to documentation to supportability.
Work with internal teams and partners to establish integration guidelines, sandbox environments, and governance models.
Cross-Functional Alignment
Partner with access control, video, and AI product teams to ensure platform consistency and adoption.
Manage platform backlog, prioritize work across stakeholders, and coordinate across scrum teams.
Lead cross-team initiatives to ensure platform scalability, performance, and compliance.
Security & Compliance Awareness
Understand and incorporate security industry requirements (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, FICAM, FIPS 201, NDAA) into platform design.
Collaborate with infosec and compliance teams to ensure platform readiness for regulated environments.
User Experience
Advocate for consistent, unified UX across products built on the platform (UI frameworks, identity, permissions, etc.).
Partner with design and front-end teams to enable shared UI components and design systems.
Metrics & Performance
Define and track KPIs for platform adoption, usage, reliability, and developer satisfaction.
Continuously gather feedback from internal teams and partners to improve platform usability and performance.
5+ years of experience in software product management, with 2+ years specifically focused on platform service-connected products.
Proven experience building or managing cloud-based, multi-tenant platforms used across multiple products or services.
Deep understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, authentication/authorization, and platform reliability patterns.
Experience working with engineering teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and…
