Designs, architects, and advances complex software, automation, and test systems supporting Session Smart Router and SD‑WAN products. Leads development of next‑generation validation frameworks, network topology modeling, cloud‑based testing workflows, and continuous integration infrastructure. Influences product architecture and system design with deep expertise in distributed networking, cloud platforms, and automation tooling. Operates as a senior technical leader with broad and deep subject matter expertise, independently solving complex problems, defining technical direction, and recommending strategic alternatives.
Frequently leads multi‑functional initiatives, mentors engineers across geographies, and ensures technical excellence across the team. Drives execution and quality for major product and release milestones.
- Designs and implements advanced automation frameworks using Python, Terraform, Ansible, and related technologies to streamline test creation, execution, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Models and validates complex network topologies using AWS, Open Stack, KVM, and physical/virtual labs to ensure high reliability, performance, and correctness across diverse deployment scenarios.
- Builds scalable systems for traffic generation, topology simulation, and automated verification of SSR network paths and routing logic.
- Leads CI and lab automation initiatives, optimizing pipelines, reducing release cycle times, and enhancing reliability of nightly and performance test suites.
- Partners with Tools & Infrastructure teams to evolve Open Stack‑based environments, Jenkins pipelines, and Git Hub workflows supporting automated validation.
- Defines end‑to‑end test strategies for major releases, including functional, regression, performance, WAN, and multi‑cloud scenarios.
- Oversees execution and quality reporting for complex multi‑day test suites, identifying systemic issues and guiding teams to root cause and resolution.
- Establishes standards for observability, diagnostics, and automated troubleshooting across test environments.
- Works directly with development, solutions engineering, cloud, performance, and release management to ensure high‑quality delivery of product features and patches.
- Represents test engineering in design reviews, architecture discussions, customer deployment analyses, and issue triage for high‑impact SD‑WAN and routing scenarios.
- Provides technical direction to global team members, including mentoring in automation development, cloud networking, distributed system testing, and advanced debugging.
- Acts as technical lead for key programs, coordinating across India and US teams to ensure consistent processes, tooling improvements, and high‑quality results.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
- Typically 8–12+ years of experience in software, networking, automation, cloud infrastructure, or QA/test engineering for distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in Python automation, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and test framework development.
