The RoleWe are seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, maintenance, and development of advanced rebreather systems. This role is ideally suited to candidates with hands-on mechanical experience and an understanding of life-support or pressurised systems. Working within a controlled engineering environment, the role will help ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with quality and compliance requirements.

What You'll Be Doing- Assembly, testing, and maintenance of rebreather units and associated mechanical components.
- Fault finding and repair of complex mechanical systems.
- Support product development, prototyping, and continuous improvement activities.
- Follow strict quality, safety, and compliance procedures in a controlled environment.
- Complete documentation of build processes, inspections, and test results.
- Interpret technical drawings and follow structured build and test procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment that supports productivity and compliance.
- Build positive working relationships through clear communication, collaboration, and constructive feedback.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in precision assembly or engineering environments.
- Experience working with complex systems involving valves, regulators, or pressurised equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow structured procedures.
- High attention to detail with a safety-first mindset.
- Methodical, disciplined, and quality-focused approach to work.
- Comfortable working in regulated or safety-critical environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Royal Navy diving experience, particularly clearance divers or engineering support roles.
- Commercial or recreational scuba diving experience, especially familiarity with rebreathers.
- Experience in life-support systems, marine engineering, defence, or subsea environments.
- Early finish on Fridays
