The Closing Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional client service by responding to email and phone inquiries, facilitating client requests, and proactively reaching out to ensure service satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional orders. This role works in a collaborative team environment and requires strong attention to detail in managing closing files, prioritizing pipelines, performing curative work on non-closable files, and supporting Title staff.
The Closing Specialist will also handle the disbursement of funds and release of cleared documents.
- Serve as the primary liaison between all parties involved in a file
- Review and examine mortgages, property titles, and trust deed documents
- Complete closings and prepare/distribute final closing statements
- Address funding conditions required by lenders
- Partner with Central Operations to resolve recording rejects
- Run daily trial balances and reconcile funds in trust accounts
- Follow up on policy issuance and ensure timely delivery to clients
- 2–4 years of escrow-related experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Reader (minimum 3 years)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work with central time zone clients
