The opportunity is in EY Private Tax, focusing on privately held companies, ranging from family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies, with high growth and a diverse portfolio of challenging tax planning and compliance projects.

• Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. partnerships, including foreign reporting for cross-border tax compliance (foreign partnerships, foreign corporations, foreign disregarded entities, and foreign affiliate reporting).
• Provide tax research, draft tax memoranda, and assist in quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services.
• Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers and Senior Managers.
• Liaise with other service lines and subject matter professionals; build long-term client relationships and tailor services to client needs.
• Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients; maintain and share up-to-date technical knowledge.
• Manage, coach and develop a team of tax professionals; review work and ensure team members have the resources to excel.
• Identify and respond to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field, with tax, business or financial planning experience.
• A CPA certification or membership in The Bar.
• Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills; confidence to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or tax.
• Willingness to travel and work in a balanced hybrid environment.

• Commitment to continuing learning.
• Proficiency with tax software (RIA, CCH Intelli Connect, One Source, BNA, Lexis Nexis).
• Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus.
• Experience in managing, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
