EY Private Tax is a growing practice focused on privately held companies and their owners and families, including high-growth private enterprises. This role involves tax planning and compliance for high-net-worth individuals and their families, with opportunities for cross-border and cross-functional teamwork within a global team.

• Depending on your unique skills and ambitions, manage responsibilities including technical planning and advising clients that include high-profile individuals and their families.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for clients and colleagues across multiple teams, developing a diverse network.
• Coach and develop a highly trained team while ensuring quality and commercial value in all activities.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
• Research tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies.
• Translate complex data into client-ready insights and deliverables.
• Build long-term relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering tailored services.
• Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients.

• A bachelor's degree in a related field, with significant tax, business or financial planning experience.
• A CPA certification or membership in The Bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization.
• Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation.
• Experience with flow-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs).
• Thorough understanding of automated tax processing systems.
• Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus.
• Commitment to continuing learning.
• Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to travel as needed, in a balanced hybrid environment.

• Proven track record in a professional services environment.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt work style to collaborate with internal and client teams.
